A Dusty Swan.
Hi,
Time for a swan, my aim is to pick up as much background dust and nebulosity as I can.
This is my first attempt, starting to look promising.
It really is a beautiful object!
Equipment.
8" Newtonian astrograph f/4. on HEQ pro 5 mount.
Orion mini guider.
Unmodded canon 1100D, baader coma corrector.
11 x 9 and 10 x 3 minute subs, iso 800, stacked in
DSS , processed in PS7.
Cheers,
Justin.

That's slack of me, didn't use the cooler box. It was 3 Celsius when I imaged.
Generally use once it's above 10 c.
I'll modify the post.
Cheers,
Justin.

One thing with the DSLR straight RBG, it helps with determining the final colours.

Like the others are saying, great colours. Loads of effort going into maintaining that in processing.

Sometimes it all comes together, I just need to be more consistent.

Thanks David,
Your not wrong about maintaining the colours during processing!
Easy to screw them up.

Hey Justin.
OK in going to be really *really* picky, but figure this has more value than pi$$ing in your pocket.
The is a tad of field rotation...easily fixed by better polar alignment
A little too blue...but un-modded DSLR cameras will do that.
As for the rest...it's great to see excellent efforts from time to time and yours is one of them

Of course I'll have to start over when I get a CCD. Processing seems a lot more complicated.
Cheers,
Justin.
