York, WA, Dobs dancing with a Tak.

Here's a timelapse showing a) How quick it is to set up a 25" and an imaging rig (NOT!) and b) why I hate clouds :-).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf7K9...ature=youtu.be
Hope it's entertaining!
cheers,
Andrew

Great video. The clouds are murder for observers but definitely add atmosphere to a timelapse.

The night part was 15" exposures, at 15" intervals, at ISO 6400 with the 14-24 wide open at f2.8 and 14mm.
The D800 will only let me set the timelapse for 7hrs:59mins, and I would have got that much, except for a wee problem with the inverter about 3 hours in that cost me half the night!

cold comfort! Literally - it was -3C. Got very little useful data from the Tak.

I used to live in York. Where abouts were you set up?

I like the video too.

That's my secret location at Talbot Hall. Unfortunately, it seems the nanny state has struck and they have been required to install emergency exit lighting into the rarely used community hall, and now you can neither sleep in it, and light from those things is really annoying through the unshaded windows!
