Rho Ophu help needed

I'm looking for some input please.
Both these images were processed to look almost exactly the same, I first processed it on the old computer, then moved it over to the new computer to adjust it to suit.
I had to really push the saturation on the new computer to make it the same as the other.
So the question is, which one has the more pleasing colours? Image 1 or Image 2.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Oh,
This is 43x10min, CDS1100d@ ISO800, Canon Nifty 50 @ F5.6

JJJ,

Personally, I like the second one. On my monitor, which I've calibrated with a Spyder 4 Express, it seems to have a bigger range of colour.

Cheers,
Mario

Isn't it funny, I posted this on FB and the general consensus there is that Number 1 is better.

JJJ, On my screen, the colours on No 1 look a little subdued, while No 2 has a definite "warm" cast across the entire frame.

Based on the colours on my screen, somewhere between the two would be my pick (as shown)

Number 2 has more red than number 1. Number 2 is more warm and seems to be better, but it seems not natural, too. I agree with suggestion to try between both: more warm and natural.

#2 with a slight tweak in the red balance. The color ratios are better.

Richard's rendition

Not too gawdy, not too dull, it's a Kellogg image

I am tending toward the subdued images, so out of your original 2, I go No1.

Nice field of view and good colours. I think I prefer Marc's rendition most but all look good.

JJJ you have given me an idea for my next project after the one I am working on now. Thanks. The blue horse head is looking good for that in a mosaic.

All comes down to personal pref and monitors... in the end, it is a really good image, well done

Thanks for everything guys.
I've gone and changed my processing routine again. Incorporating more aggressive star reduction. And have decided to stick with the new computer, being more mindful of any colour casts. (easier said than done when looking at a monitor with tired eyes. lol )
