:D 6 years clear
The 4th of July has come around again.
Today I celebrate 6 years clear from colo/rectal cancer.
And it's my yearly reminder to all of you to take notice of what is happening "down there".
If you have any of the symptoms listed on this link, please get it checked out ASAP.
Bowel Cancer is one of the most curable cancers, if it is caught early.

Awesome. 18 months for me. Not the same condition - inch or two north.

Sincere congratulations Nettie! I know the horrors of cancer through family members.
My uncle died from cancer - colon and rectum, spread to his bowel (colostomy bag for 2 years). Eventually metastasised and was everywhere. To top that off, he ended up with a frontal lobe carcinoma also. He could not sit for more than a minute before excruciating pain. 4 years of treatment, and in the end he decided enough was enough. He passed away quickly, and thankfully HEAVILY sedated.

Good to hear you're clear, JJJ.
My father had bowel cancer, so I know what you went through.

aye, to call it a pain in the ass is an understatement.
I'll have the complications because of it for the rest of my life. But hey, I have a rest of my life to live now.

Congratulations!! You're an inspiration.
I've also got the testing kit at home, ..... and the reminder letter . I'm out at music tonight but I've promised myself I'll have the sample in the mail on Monday.

David,
Do it -- my dad did it and that is how he found out he had a 7 cm tumour.
The test has saved his life.

That's great news jjjnettie. My brother just notched up 4 years since his surgery, all clear.
My father-in-law was diagnosed/operated on in the 1970s, he is about to celebrate his 92nd birthday !!!
A right pain in the RRRRs but better than the alternative!

Congrats JJJ - You go girl!
I'm amazed by the number of others who have also suffered - and survived. Best wishes to you all - keep those anniversaries coming
