Hi All,
Saturday night I had a few "first lights" for me.
Had my new GSO Rc 6" on my new-to-me HEQ5, with my now repaired 600D with filter mod. Also the first time I got to try out my qhy5 on my self modified 50mm guidescope

It was all just a trial really to get my head around the new set-up.
The first is M22. 10 x 50s @ iso 400 with darks, but no flats/bias frames. Loving the longer focal length of the Rc, as with my old Ed80 I found myself chasing Globs and Galaxies but was always left wanting. Now I can get up close and personal
Next is M17. 6 x 70s @ iso 400 with darks, but no flats/bias frames. I only managed 6 as by 1am my fingers just about stopped working from the cold! This really shows how effective the new mod is on the 600D. Wouldn't have gotten half as much detail out of the stock camera. Will definitely be tackling this one again soon!
All up I'm very happy with how my new kit is coming together and finally getting back into imaging. Now to start thinking of building an obs......
Cheers!
Chris
