First Pano

Went out early this morning and took a few shots at Yarramundi, near Richmond on the Nepean river. The spot I was looking to photograph from was still a couple of metres underwater from the recent flood and with the milkyway close to the horizon and moving down,I had to quickly get another spot. The milky way is a bit too close the trees for my liking but I'm still pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for looking.

Michael.

Good work Michael. The foreground light looks great, is that the moon?

Thanks Greg.

Amazing what details can emerge from long exposures that the eye can't see.

Michael.

Great shot Michael I think the angle of The Milky Way above the horizon that you have captured here is pretty much perfect for doing Milky Way panos. Most of the other times parts of it are too high in the sky which creates too much distortion.

Nice composition ! You could also perhaps try to reduce the noise a little bit, but even in the current shape the image is very pleasant.
