The standard Meade autostar 497 will control that telescope (much better than the original 494)

Bintel used to sell them

I don't know if this is of any use to you. I got it ages ago as part of a job lot but I have no use for it. If you can give it a good home you are welcome to it gratis.

Hi Barry
That is a hand controller for a LX200 classic. They are like hens teeth to get hold of in working order. If you have no use for it I have just had a request from a chap for a hand controller and mother board. I was going to try to repair his parts (gratis) when he gets back from the UK next week. If it is of no use to you I can pass it on to someone who needs it. Dou you use paypal. I can send you money for freight etc.

PM me

Barry

No worries Barry,

I would of PM'd but I couldn't figure out how to send this picture.
There's a couple of other bits I can include that are associated with the controller, if they are of any use. At the moment they sit in a cupboard gathering dust. Send me your address. No need for any money, Amateur courtesy.

Cheers
Barry

Hi Barry

You will find a message in your in email inbox with my address.

Barry

PS I will let the chap know I have located a hand box. He will be thrilled. He has acquired a 12" LX200 classic missing the parts.
