Asus G75

Picked up a new notebook a couple of days ago to replace my aging battling HP dv6. It's a Asus G75VX, I remember it's predecessor the VW getting a recommendation a while back on the forums. For a machine priced just under two grand with it's build quality and specs thought I might mention it here. Austin computers here in Perth had the best price I could find.

I'll be interested in hearing how you go with it after some solid use. What types of activities will you be using it for? How much will you be relying on battery use?

Mainly image processing, some gaming and general daily use. With the stock battery I've read from reviews time until recharge isn't great, yet to try it, but I won't be really relying on battery use anyway. No problems so far transferring image/astronomy software except for Sky X communicating with my mount hopefully an update will work from SB. Battlefield 3 runs well......windows 8 err interesting.
