Lobster Bisque

A quarter moon in the western sky, freezing temperatures and close to 100% humidity wasn't going to deter me from getting the scope out over the last few days when I was presented with "clear skies". I had been keen to have a crack at imaging M27, and so while I was waiting for it to rise I thought I'd have a go at NGC6357.

61 x 4min subs at ISO1600
Modded Canon 1000D
VC200L @ f6.4
Processed with Pixinsight v1.8

Probably pushed it a bit hard as there is some noise creeping in to the darker areas. I was using Marco's fabulous shot of this area from last year (see here) as a processing guide and was keen to try and see how much of the faint stuff in his image I could reveal with my more modest equipment.

Hi-res version here: http://www.astrobin.com/45548/B/

As usual, comments and criticism most welcome

+1 on my side, this and the others I have seen recently from you are first class images with a "simple" DSLR!

Clear skies
