Hand Controller Cradle for G2

Hey guys. Thought i'd share some pic's of the cradle I smacked together for my Gemini 2 Hand control.

It's a bit "rustic" but it does the job really well

I was sick of the controller dangling, or dropping after precariously being perched somewhere! I'd seen a few users attach a string to their HC's, but I wanted something a bit different. Found some 90 Deg angle brackets in bunnings which looked like they'd work well. A few rivets, and a bit of paint! I drilled and tapped a couple of holes in the G2 casing, for 2 screws, protruding just enough to grab the cradle and make for a tight fit. I was a bit cautious drilling the holes, afraid I'd screw it up! I removed the main board to make sure no metal shavings fell in.

I guess you could just use the ASCOM window and control the mount through that, and not bother with the HC all together, but I like using the HC.

Anyways, hope you like it!

Erik
