2" visual back for LX200

Hi All, I am confused.!!

I have acquired a 2" GSO Crawford focuser for my LX200 Classic 10". I install it today. Removed the diagonal and screwed the GSO focuser to the back of the SCT...all appears ok....

but...

The Visual Back adaptor is only 1.25" opening and the Focuser is obviously 2", this to me seems pointless. Am I on the right track so far or does it not matter.??

I am sure I used to have a Visual Back adaptor to suit a JMI motor focuser, (I didn't like the motor and prefer manual), a while ago that had a removable ring so this type of Manual focuser could be attached. Obviously I cannot find this adaptor to prove my theory.

Has anyone else install the 2: GSO Crayford focuser onto a Meade LX200 classic 10" that may be able to point me in the right direction.

Cheers, Shayne
