green cast between stars 4755

G'day folkies!
I just started LRGB imaging after a couple of false starts. Having being used to the DSLR I have had to read several F.... manuals!
Plus a new mount + scope makes life more interesting!
Anyhoo, hopefully attached is a Jewel box test image.
I took it with my QSI 683 and did LRGB 100 sec exposures at -20'c.
I then did darks (later) and much later added t shirt flats and bias frames.
I looked at the ADU on my flats and it is way too high- even through the filters so that is another issue.
But I have this green reflection which I never noticed on the DSLR.-plus some other greeny shadows.
I processed as well as I could with calibration and stacking LRGB then coolour combine in Maxim DL (also acquired), then PP in StarTools.
I know I can get rid of it by more post processing, but what actually is it?
If the pic is too small I can try and post a bigger picture later.
By the way the scope is an RC 8 with a feathertouch focuser.
NB hope you are getting better weather than us down here. It's a fright!
Cheers
Graz from Taz

I can't comment on your green alien issues, but that's a nice pic of the jewel box!

No idea what it is, but it removes easily. I just used HLVG to remove it from your image: (http://www.deepskycolors.com/archivo...sta-green.html)

That's really handy. Rogellio has written some very good articles on noise reduction using PixInsight and the SCNR tool is very handy.

StarTools does the same with its green capping tool with good results - knowing whether to cap to yellow or brown is the trick.
