Dob+platform+camera?

Hi all,
Been a while, can't catch a break on observing, only a few short sessions, fired up a new ES 6.8mm eyepiece, luv the quality, finding it very hard to focus though, just ordered an orion chesire to help with collimation.Sketching pad, pens and pencils have been an awesome addition. The sketches i've seen in the forums here are mind blowing!!
I've been wondering about video cameras and how'd they go with a 12inch Dob on an eq platform?,i'm keen on the Gstar ex clr, would i be better off saving my pennys for a cassegrain setup?

I would think you would be better off with an SCT, but I have a GSTAR mono if you want to borrow it to see how it goes on your setup. The only way to know really is to try it. I think video astronomy is one of the best breakthroughs in the amateur realm, the ability to get to see so much detail effectively realtime is amazing. Drop me a PM if you want to borrow the camera.
