Cat Paw from SPSP 2013

Here's my last one from the star party . Still a little noisy but some good colors. It's very red and in a very dark part of the milkyway.
Big one here [3.96MB] Smaller HD version here [2.84MB]

An earlier shot with a lens from a couple of years ago showing it in a wider context.

That's it. No more.

Thanks Steven. Yeah I had a good run. Hopefully next new moon is clear too so I can get more color.

Thanks again Bob. From memory I think it was a 200mm Pentax lens. I have a Ha version here a bit clearer.

Nice work, Marc! I've been slowly mosaicing this region in narrowband from my back yard... nice to see the wider view in context

Good stuff. You might want to have a look at the prawn next door as well. Heaps of goodies. Dark tower, etc... and west of it there are huge arches a bit like a SN remnants (4 o'clock from it on the shot)

Another nice image Marc; easy to make out the cat's paw here! Not seeing much noise myself.

Thanks David. I had to do a little noise reduction in the blue channel. Should have done twice as many subs really but this one was kind of an in between targets.
