No more Mr. nice guy, I've not been happy with my uneven disc illumination to begin with really, so today it was all about yet more experiments. This PST will be the death of me trying to get things right
I think I'm getting closer. This is a 9 pane mosaic, but the problem has been PLACEMENT of these panes because the brightest point of illumination in this PST is not smack dab in the centre, it's up & to the left of center so you have to try to IGNORE where true center is & work from this central illumination point. Extremely hard to get your head around & it's taken me months to fathom what's going on. In effect, I have to create an 'offset mosaic' of 6 or more panels. This scope was never meant for imaging they tell me, well we'll see about that!

Won't rest until I've got everything the way that I think it should be if it's humanly possible
Another thing I'm finding is adding false colour to these monochromatic images is HURTING the image. Doesn't matter how you add the false colour or what program you use - Adding colour blurs the image out ever so slightly..That's gonna require some thought.
No time for proms until I get this disc shooting sorted.
