A sunset to remember

Had no time to grab a good camera or to set this up. I had gone outside to see what the dog was barking at, saw this and grabbed the first camera I could find - not the best but the best I had to hand.

Remarkable. The best colour I have seen like that was a dawn in the Colorado Rockies.

Lovely sunset, Peter! Almost worth having a cloudy sky just for that

Great shot Peter - I was stuck in theatre, but I received texts from my wife and another friend with sunset pics today. Reminds me of one I captured off my back deck a couple of years ago. The mackerel clouds are stunning when they occur in the late afternoon!

Thanks everyone. It was one of those "the things you see when you don't have a camera" moments - except that I did have one albeit a simple little Canon S3 IS. Better than nothing though.
