M8 under terrible conditions

I was testing my filterwheel mounting and a few other scope things last night. I wasn't expecting to be ble to do any serious imaging because a heavy wind was blowing, the seeing was terrible with stars blowing in and out like baloons aaaand there was a full moon in Scorpio...but I still managed to bag a consolation Halpha image of the Lagoon Nebula

Not a masterpiece by any stretch but not bad given the conditions I guess?

Ah...the wonders of digital imaging, could never have done this in the days of film!

I just looove the tight round stars from that AP refractor....terrific image despite the conditions.

Cheers
