[SOLD] HitecAstro EQ DIR adaptor

Hi all,
Surplus now is my HitecAstro EQ DIR adaptor which allows direct connection of Skywatcher HEQ5 and EQ6 mounts (Syntrek and PRO models) to your laptop or PC via a standard USB lead.
The system worked really well in that configuration, but I no longer have my NEQ6.

Normally about $50, $30 plus freight will do.

Does it fit the HEQ5 Pro mounts as well, seeing that they don't have RS232 but RJ45 and RJ12 ports? Is there an adapter included or something?

Hi Steffen, sorry, I'm not sure about that, so I have just emailed Hitecastro for an answer, and i'll let you know as soon as I hear back. They are usually quick to reply.

FWIW as an update, here's an email from Dave at HitecAstro about their EQ DIR adapters, EQ6's and HEQ5's require different connectors, as below.

Hi Greg,

We have two adaptors one with the RJ45 and another with the the DB9 so both eq5 and eq6 variants are covered. You just need to specify which one you need. I'm pretty sure Sirius Optics have both in stock.
