jupiter mosaic 17june

Hi all
Took a series of avis of Jup early last night as the GRS was rotating out of view. Had intended to try to make an animation from these but the seeing deteriorated as time went on. As a makeshift I've given them some basic processing and assembled them into a sequential mosaic. Looks cool although not too much detail in most images.

Also attached is a single image from later in the night when the seeing steadied to about 6/10. 11"SCT, 1/33 sec, about 400 out of 1000 frames each.

Hi Graeme,

Like the single shot, nice detail. Can see how the seeing conditions vary during the mosaic.

Good one.

Very nice Graeme - appreciate the hard work, both capturing and processing, that must have gone into the mosaic.

Cheers

Dodgy little gif

Hi Graeme,

here's a quick little gif of the images, I couldn't help myself. It's not exact, but I am at work after all.
