Remarkably sharp and detailed. More than I would have expected from a 10 inch scope.

Greg.

Beautiful images Leo! The depth and rich colour of M51 is stunning! That GSO seems to do a very fine job.

Cheers, Marcus

Many thanks to all for the kind comments.

@Greg, Marcus : after 4 years i know all about this GSO ... oversampling + AO + Deconv and some other stuff during presentation give a great result.

All the best.

Thats a massive improvement with the Deconvolution. You understand your gear really well and it shows in your images.

Greg.

Beautiful results Leo, I love the colours, I get lambasted by a few for saturating my colours sometimes but I think it looks great

I like the way you have kept the dynamic range of M51 a little more believable than most who process this galaxy. To look real to me the core should really be noticeably or at least slightly brighter than the arms, most however process the core of M51 to look darker in order to reveal the inner details and this makes the galaxy look hollow and somewhat unnatural. By maintaining the brightness across M51 you have at least stopped short of this and still showed some core detail - nice work

Mike

Many thanks Mike, its not easy to manage the core of this galaxy. I tried to do my best.

For Greg and who are interesting in Deconv, attached the result after e before 22 (thanks to near 10 hours of lum) iterations of Lucy-Richardson Deconv in maxim on the luminance. I hope the forum compression doesn't destroy to match the image.

All the best,
Leo
