Partial from Bundaberg in HA

Well I stuffed my DSLR attempt up. I took a series of shots but I wasn't quite at optimum focus

Not to be outdone, the earliest I can do any PST HA on any given day right now is just past 10AM due to a massive tree, but at least it's a passable result for the Astro-scrapbook.

Found out that the focus ring on the 55-250 lens is loose...Focus changed every time the shutter went off. Not sure how to fix that one!

Nice images John. Did you manage to get any proms in the Ha data?

Well Done John. You do really nice work with the DSLR. Seems like pretty good focus.

Thanks guys, the PST was an afterthought after realizing I'd mucked the DSLR shots up! Ted, the DSLR shot is out of focus slightly, but IMO as good as a mile out of focus! It's crap. Some of the first shots were ok though but it's due to the focus ring that has stuffed the shots after image 3.

Paul the proms will be there, but I just haven't got around to doing a separate processing run for those yet. Later.

Hey thanks Trevor. Despite the high winds today, the seeing was good. Can't wait for excellent seeing with this PST!

do some googling on the focus, otherwise it might be time for a service on the lens!

Love the HA shot!

Finally the widebay is getting some decent weather when most important!

Here's one of the first DSLR images before the lens focus problem. Shot through light cloud obviously.
