That is so sharp. Great image and yes well done. I would love to see a mosaic of the whole region with more panels as good as the one you posted.

Mark.

Thank you Mark. I am very pleased too with the outcome. It will be awhile before I will be equiped for mosaic, capturing and processing a single frame are already overwhelming, long night and sleepy head at work. I will try later though.

Nothing to shy about. This is high grade already. Focus, guiding and processing.

Well done David, that looks very good. Tight and round stars, the bane of all imagers at the start.
What scope, mount, camera and guiding did you use, must be a long FL, so given that stars are tight at this FL, your guiding must have been very good.
Was it a 7nm filter? Were the frames calibrated?

Cheers
Alistair

Lovely job David. I'll second Alistair, what scope are you using?

Thank you Rowland and Alistair. The bane of all imagers at the start is probably due to unfair advantage of my gears. I am actually embarrassed to take that long to post a few images. The image is take with Astrophysics 155 (FL: 1085mm) on the PMX mount. Sbig St10xme I bought from an ISS user installed with filters which I have no way of telling what sort of HA filter is. Guiding with the Tak FS60 (FL: 355) piggybacked and SX Superstar.

Frames are calibrated with master dark and bias. I dont know how to make the flat yet. Processed in PixInsight which I bought a week ago, the best thing I ever spent on astronomy it is.

Regards
David

Well keep up the good work. That is nice gear. PI is very good. I use it mostly for processing with the BatchProcessing script. Flats... everyone seems to have their pet method. EL panels are popular, as are the light boxes for sale in the classifieds.

What is BatchProcessing script? Rowland. I will need to get a light box. Thanks

Nice shot, and nice gear.
I built my own, but the distance precluded any other real option. There is a forum member Pete (exsfo) who makes them.

Hi David
You mentioned PI in a previous post, which I took to mean Pixinsight, if not please disregard, perhaps you meant something else? In anycase, the Pixinsight BatchProcessing script is a tool for calibration, debayer, stacking and integration of images.

Yes, indeed PixInsight. Is there more advantage of BachProcessing script over manual process? so far I just do one at a time.

Regards
