Solar activity 2013 May 1 (Italy)

Hi everyone,
yesterday yhe seeing was 6/10 and transparency 7/10, so I spent my time in performing my practice for solar imaging. It's my third work with Mak 127 + ASI120MM + Baader Continuum and IR/UV/cut...
I mainly used the Mak both at 1500mm and 2250 focal lenght: I think it's the best focal lenght's range to work by using this set-up when the seeing is not excellent... ASI camera has little pixels (3,75micron) and it help in easily reaching the optimal sampling ( by simple calculations, it should be 1600-2200mm). I tried to capture at 3000mm focal lenght too, but I was not completely satisfacted by the result I achieved: the seeing got worse and details were mostly confused...

1500mm focal lenght:

An impressive set Nunzio – I enjoyed the progression through the increasing focal lengths used. The last 3000mm http link did not work for me.

Cheers

Very nice! Love the granulation in the 3000mm shots.
