Girraween landscapes

Hi all,

Here's a few more landscapes from my recent camping trip to Girraween National Park up on Queensland's Granite Belt.

#1. Balancing Rock on the Pyramid (with the kids trying to push it over!)
#2. Rainbow viewed from the Pyramid
#3. Granite boulders on the Pyramid
#4. The Sphinx
#5. The Sphinx from Turtle Rock
#6. Cracked granite at Turtle Rock
#7. The track up Castle Rock, where you have to squeeze between granite boulders
#8. View towards the Sphinx from Castle Rock

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Awesome country out there Stephen, That granite pyrimid is a good climb : ) Wave Rock is another great spot there, about 5k drive, can climb down under to an underground stream, about a 3-4k walk & another km to Dr Roberts Lake, which is sorrounded by giant 60foot bolders type rocks jutting out of ground !

Great shots Stephen.

Some lovely formations.

I was having a chuckle at the kids pushing the boulder and thought what if it decided to roll away at that moment.

"whoops it wasn't us"

Sounds great Bob - will have to look into that one next time I'm in the area!

Cheers,
