Small portion of the Milky Way 2013-04-08

Another from our Girraween NP trip (as I mentioned in the LMC pic). It's a portion of the Milky Way and if my calculations are correct, contains Sirius on the right, Canopus near the bottom and Hadar, Becrux and Acrux over to the left of the image.

The two images are different levels of processing. I think I prefer the second, but it might be a touch over done.

These are much more wide field - 10mm. Again 30 sec exposures. I think DSS only took 4 for use but I had more that I guess weren't up to scratch.
