I feel the moon has been somewhat neglected...

Nice! I know a lot of people find the moon boring to everything else we have to look at up there, but I love looking at the moon!

in the second one i noticed a bright spot I had not seen before near the top right, at the end of a half-crater

and even though the first one looks more like an old map of the moon- excellent.

Take the Sun out of the sky (yes, I know it would be dark), the Moon is the next best thing. I kind of think about the Earth and Moon as a planetary pair!

Nothing wrong with the moon Johnny.
Have a crack with the DMK51 and the 9.25 and you will be blown away.
I tried Saturn last night and the dew beat me but this is the moon while I was waiting. Vixen 130ss at PF - two shot mosaic.
