A bit of Eta C to see

20 mins of Eta Carina @ ISO 800
Stacked in DSS 3.3.3 and process in FITSWORK and PixBuilder Studio. Shrunk to posting size in Paint Shop Pro
SONY SLT A77v with Astronomik CLS filter in the Lunt.

It's weird, theres nothing to see except white screen when stacked by DSS but open the autosave with FITSWORK and the image is there to be stretched.

I'd be keen to see what a JPEG from the RAW looks like. Without being smart, there doesn't look to be all that much "showing", and I wonder if DSS is presenting it somehow so that it needs a heap of stretching.
I have a few from last night, similar camera (a700), same ISO (800), and in 300 second subs. Similar scope etc as well, (107 @f7).
Feel like rattling up a JPEG, and I'll do the same?

Hi Gary, there is heaps more but I prefer and am trying to acheive the more realistic look. Not a big fan of Hubble colour palettes. I'll give it another push tonight from the original ( if the sky is cloudy otherwise I'll be in the Ob ) and bring up more colour depth so you can see.
The CLS Filter also takes a lot of the red out which takes a bit of compensating and I cannot do 300 second subs with my LP level.

Mike has replied btw, same settings as yours and he has provided the links. I'll check it out next week after Pukekohe when I have time.

Maybe I'm being a bit careful with my processing. I had a quick go at the last TIF file and got a bit more out of it.

Could be that you are then. There is more to come yet I reckon.
If you get stuck, I'll e mail you a JPEG, to compare.
