Meade 10" LX200 ACF OTA

For Sale..... Meade 10" LX200 ACF OTA in as new condition. Purchased back in March but not used due to a few health issues etc.
I will include a Bahtinov Mask for this scope, a 2 inch EP to SCT adapter, a Losmandy mounting plate fitted to the OTA and a Meade Finder scope. (these items are not supplied with the OTA)
All comes complete in original packaging.

Original cost of all items was $2690 will sell for $2000 + delivery. I would prefer pick up or meet part way from Melb or Sydney but can freight at your cost and responsibility. (I don't think much of Courier services).
This is a big heavy scope.

I almost forgot the Kendrick Dewcap I have for this scope. It cost me $85 and will add to the list for $50. This includes a powered heater to keep dew off the corrector plate. None of this equipment has been used. All new.
Total with dewcap = $2050 plus delivery. (NOW $1900 + Delivery and Insurance if required.)

Hi Brad, It is still available. I was lucky to find out about your reply as I have not looked at this section for a while. Best you use a PM as it at least also notifies me by email as well.

Still for sale $1900 and is a bargain at this price. Just look at the price of the new ones. This is the f10 model and not the f8 version.

Doug, do you know if this will vignette on the STL?

You're sorely tempting me.

H,

I used an STL with the 12" ACF and i think it worked well, but with the 12" you can unscrew the 3.25" threat at the back of the rear cell and replace it with a larger aperture hole, or put a optec focuser on the back which is what i did and that also opens up the back a little. Im not sure if the 10" can have the rear thread unscrewed to open it up, having said that, it may still work with the stock standard back on the scope.

Yes, the 10" ACF has a 3 1/4" to SCT thread adapter that unscrews. You can fit any external focuser with a 3 1/4" Meade thread (which I think is 3.27" 16tpi, but I might have to check that).

Whether that influences AP vignetting, I don't know, but it was a large determinant in my fitting a MoonLite with 3 1/4" flange to reduce 2" widefield eyepiece vignetting.

I hope you got all that H...... The back does unscrew and from memory you use to be able to purchase an eye opener for the 10" LX200. Don't know if they are still available.

H, put a MoonLight focuser on it and they will make a plate adapter for the full opening of the ACF scope. Talk to Ron but I think its a standard fitting now.
