Vixen GPD2 mount modification

I am looking to upgrade my mount, and am considering a Vixen GPD2. There is no Vixen Go-To available, but I believe it is possible to fit a Synscan Go-To system.
Can anyone who has done this tell me if it is a straight-forward job, or are there problems associated with it.
Thanks
And which tripod would be better-Vixen HAL130, or Skywatcher with stainless steel legs?

Laurie there is a Starbook S available from Vixen or the EQ5 Synscan fit is a direct bolt on system as is the iOptron GoToNoVa #8400 kit , these kits are about $650 on top of the GPD2 price.

Thanks Matt. Apparently there is no longer a Starbook available, so Astro Shop tell me.

There's a GPD2 with Synscan for sale in the classifieds - don't know if you've seen that
