Very nice work there Derek.
How many frames are you taking in your data sets?

Ralph I take 1000 frames.Still using Registax 5 .Set at usually 95percent for proms so with these only 20-60 frames for most pics then sharpened in CS2.Forsome of these I only took 500 or so as I was trying for an animation but the seeing wasn't consistent enough for the focal length.I find around 2100 mm gives a sharper result than the 3400mm used here but the detail is not as accentuated.

I use to take only 500 or so frames for prom just because they were only proms. Wrong!!!! At 2500/3500mm I now take about 2000frames with the DMK51. At 12 frm/min this is a pain as some times there is to much change in the prom. Thanks to to some advice from Asi I now have started using the DMK21 for proms and bumping it up to 4 or 5 thousand frames. I use RegiStax 6 and use % best frames to give me 150 to 200 frames to stack. That is a rough guide only as there are many variables that make changes unavoidable. That seems to be OK for me at present but all ways trying new things.
Have not see the sun for weeks. It was clear early but now raining again. How much longer can it keep up.
