Imaging again, Eta Carinae!

So not having used my gear for about 4 months, and having the guts of my QHY10 replaced, it arrived in the mail yesterday, and it was clear enough to do a quick test. So far so good! No strange shadows in my images, and they look a lot cleaner as well.

Finally worked out the collimation on the RC, guiding and tracking were beautifully smooth for a change. Even under a nearly full moon, I think this is a pretty good start.

6 x 5 minute subs at -20 Degrees with no calibration frames.

Hope you like it
Erik.

Thanks, yeah I noticed a pretty big difference in my images since going from a standard 350D to the CCD!

I have to thank Theo at Gamma for the great help with getting my camera back up and running!

Been putting of buying PixInsight for a long time now, so I took the leap and forked out for it. Here is a second version of the same image. What do you think? I think the background is not as red, and the nebula stands out a bit more?

Yes, better definition and contrast. Some nice star colours in there as well.
