Centaurus A / NGC 5128

I ended up finding ALL the data I did as a CCD trial on NGC 5128 on Saturday, stacked it with flats, dark flats and bias 2 hrs total data, through a 4" fluorite refractor, with SXVR-M25C OSC.

I'd like Peter Ward kinda data, but not sure that'll happen until a few more hours with a 4" refractor

That's very nice. Good focus and tight stars.

Yes, a nice image Lewis; and you appear to have captured some of the extended halo as well!

Thanks all - now to add to it!

My "new" VC200L arrived today, so after a few fix-it mods, I'll be trying her out deep. Never seen collimation THIS far out before (seller said so) - but for $450, I don't mind having to fix some things!

Love a good Cen A Lewis and this is pretty ok particularly considering it was taken with a small scope and not from the Atacama desert

A legendary fluorite refractor coupled with a DAMNED GOOD camera is a match made in heaven.

I am still amazed by how much detail (especially contrast) this camera and scope combination gives in relatively short subs! And how LITTLE processing/tweaking I have to do! DSS often gave horrendous results with the Canon 5D - really difficult post-processing - yet with the SXVR, I have to do VERY VERY little, and nearly always just a MINOR saturation change to see colour.
