Which version of mount should I get?

HI all,

Just thought I would throw this one in to see how popular colour preference is to a mount.

At the end of the year roughly around the end of November, beginning of December, I will be purchasing an EQ6 with Synscan, now this might be the newly proposed synscan which is meant to come out mid year which might be flash upgradable. It might be blck or it might be white, depending on how I feel.

So which do you prefer? The White or the black version of the EQ6. I know its a personal preference.

Black version... http://www.skywatchertelescope.net/p...Q6SkyScanL.jpg

White Version... http://www.camera-traders.com/sky-watcher/pro/EQ6L.jpg

Black is boring.
White looks clean and scientific, and is less likely to clash with other accessories.
My preferred colour would be Takahashi Green.

Cheers

Less likely for people/animals to run into a white one in the dark.

I was going to say white for the visibility reason, but after seeing it in the link you provided, I reckon white for the aesthetics. Very cool.

Though it will probably mark easily.

Yes, white, but what colour of OTA are you going to put on it?

I will be aligning it to the SCP so my mind and body are in equal harmony to the proportion of starbirth, whatever that means. I will be putting a black 8" f7 on it with a white 4" f7 guidescope. So the colours are very harmonius.

Hate to tell you but white and black aren't colours - they are shades!

White always seems to look more high end, and will stand out more in very dim lighting - giving you a bt more chance to see it and not accidentally bump it or knock it over.

I thought of this after posting the poll, but decided to keep it simple.
