can't help except to say you have good taste. - I've only just completed the set of 5, 9, 15, 25 and 40mm LVs. I see $600 eyepieces all the time at my place, but for my needs the LVs are better. Alan

By the look of things, most people tends to hold their LVs pretty close to their chest. Have you tried Astromart or Cloudynights Colin?

If you are really keen on these lanthanum EPs but not on a strict budget the NLV's are the identical glass and optical design only with a different eye-cup design (twist top instead of folding rubber). Although I haven't personally had a chance to look there is some talk that the coatings are a bit better on the new NLV's over the old LV's. IMHO the strength of the LV's/NLVs are to be found in the shorter FL's when used with a tracking mount etc otherwise I think you are better off with any of the widefield EPs on the market like Vixens own LVW or of course TVs like Pans/Naglers etc.
