You're into it like a man possessed Ezystyles....whoops spearo..... you're pumping out nearly as many as that DSI Demon.

Another good shot Frank. Is it just a single image or a stack?

Have you looked at DSLR Focus, as you focus looks just a tad off.

Paul,
HAHA
yes it's becoming a bit of an obsession...especially as , to me, since i'm starting from such a poor level of performance, any shot that looks a bit better than the last one fuels me up to work at it some more ...much to the chagrin of the girfriend i think...(thankfully clouds have moved in tonight...)

most if not all my shots are single shots unless I state otherwise on the pic label. I havent scraped up enough $ for a laptop yet hence no DSLR focus, no guiding etc...
i just use ahartman mask and try my best

I've also learned the other day (thanks JohnG) that I need to refocus throughout the night which I hadnt been doing before)

its a steep learning curve for me

Something else to think about is when you focus using the live preview screen, turn it off for 15 sec or so to allow the camera to cool a bit before taking your shot. You may find you get less noise.

He's pretty helpful tha JohnG fella

A very beautiful shot there Frank.
Just curious- why aren't you using live focus on the 20Da?

Paul, absolutely about JohnG, and I knew about the delay re 15sec and try to do so.
Andrew, I use the live view, both settings for focussing with a hartmann mask,
but I'm still sometimes off a bit
