Saturday Night

Had a beaut night finding this and splitting that. Was gobsmacked by the planetary views of Andrews big scope. Hubby and middle son were much impressed. ( Hope that plants the seed that Mother needs a bigger scope LOL )
One of the highlights was an Iridium flare that Andrew saw, I caught the end of it.

Thanks for making the trip out Andrew.
A more detailed report later because I think I need a little sleep now.

I am led to believe that the 18 obsession was the most popular of the aperatures that Kreige produced.

BTW did you know he will be visiting Oz next month?

The scope on the left is a Kreige obsession. It would of been going to Wiruna this year but through work commitments the owner can't make it this year.

The dob on the right was made by one of our club members a 30" mirror that he bought for a song from a deceased estate. It is an absolute pleasure to view through but you don't want to suffer with vertigo whilst up that ladder.

I must let Mick (who owns the obsession) know that he is coming.
Do you know what date and where?

PS Thanks for the welcome Ving.
