This is ONE SEXY SCOPE.
Beautifully crafted here in N.Z. by a professional cabinet-maker/astronomer, I've not seen a better looking dob in the flesh. Everything is tight, solid and machined to perfection. Majority of hardware/fittings are machined from Delrin or ali. Hardwood, carbon-look formica and automotive paint finish the superior construction of this beautiful scope......wait.....why am I thinking of selling this..??!
....anyway, comes complete with DUAL fans - one behind primary mirror and a filtered fan blowing across the front surface. Both controlled by a custom made switch box (complete with cycling LEDs) and DCLA batt.
Also has a very solid custom made aperture cover with dual 4" ports - one with solar filter, one open.
Mirrors are a match set of GSO 1/12th-1/16th wave primary & secondary in excellent condition. 16 point primary mirror cell.
GSO dual speed focuser 10:1 crayford.
GSO 50mm right angle finder scope and custom mount. Also same for a green laser (not included).
Completing the package a custom fitted ripstop nylon shroud.
My first viewing of Orion through this scope was biblical
