This is an original Cometracker.
A wonderful 6" f3.6 schmidt newtonian - not to many were made until Meade realised they were loosing money on it!
This one's in original condition, with original paper work. The extra 2" eyepiece holder included.
It's currently fitted with custom machined rings, a Vixen dovetail and a foam dew shield.
I had lots of interest in it while in the UK but decided then not to sell.
I'd consider trade/ part trade for anything spectroscopic or solar observing related...

Finally have the Belgium boxes in sight...should be able to get to the Cometracker this weekend.

Finally got the storage box out...
The Cometracker is in good condition:
The original Meade instruction sheet and 2" eyepiece holder are there ( the original MA25 eyepiece went long ago!)
The optics are clean. The coatings on both the secondary and the primary are 100%, but there's a small flake from the extreme edge of the secondary - this has been blackened and effectively hidden by the "clip" - has no effect on the image.
The tube and focuser is as per original - there are a few minor cosmetic marks where the paint has gone.
Currently fitted with a custom pair of rings and Vixen dovetail. I have a foam dew shield available.
