It's been a while!

A tad over 5 years in fact.... since I've set up a scope.... things just got in the way one after an other - exams, a wedding, a job change, a baby, another baby.... anyway....
the observatory has basically sat dormant since late 2007, and still is, but I dusted off the dob (literally) and set her up to try and observe comet Lemmon tonight....
Luckily I took the time to make sure everything was stored away in sealed containers, its like it was used yesterday.... maybe soon I'll dust out the observatory, repair some water damage, replace the computer that died along the way (crappy Bunnings ply!) and fire up the G11 again! Wish me luck!

hey Houghy - what warranty do you give on a 6yr old computer - stored outside in the weather??

Nothing much has changed I see.... spend the afternoon cleaning out the obs, intending on a little observing, or more likely mucking about with the mount.... and the clouds turn up!
