I am bored, so...

...REDUX/EXPERIMENTATION time.

This is NGC 3324 stretched as much as I dare (I think 3 stretches in total). binned, blah blah blah.

Reds are a bit pink, the bit of 3372 peeking in at the bottom is overblown a bit (a BIT ), maybe too much blue... butI was channel and curves fiddling to extract all I could from 55 minutes data without making it look like a pixelated mess. Not even sure if the brown loops are dust or H-a trying to come through

Camera had some image plane tilt thanks to a crappy GSO extension. And it's only 55 mins of data...

Criticise away... please. Just don't tell me I have red or blue halos around my stars

Not bad for 55mins data Lewis. Not sure that I see much image plane tilt either? Just maybe some background colour noise.

I am not counting them.

Wonder how this whole complex would appear minus all the stars - most seem to be foreground stars too.

Just for a laff, I'll run it through DSS again and see how many it counts at 100% (no rejects). It took 35 minutes to process it, using 8 processors and 8Gb RAM... I had to turn drizzle off or it would run out of memory
