Anyone wanna buy a NexImage?

Hi guys

I'm looking to sell my NexImage webcam.

It's in mint condition, 6 months old, and comes with everything in the original box.

Open to offers via PM

My understanding from Mike is that it has the same CCD chip but not the same chipset. Sounds like that affects the way it processes and treats data.

DaveP is also of the opinion it doesn't offer the same performance as the ToUcam.

I must say it does appear to outperfrom the NexImage.

Rob T has also shifted to a Phillips.

???

Just so everyone's aware. This hasn't sold yet.

Still taking offers.

People are asking what it comes with. Well, everything you'll need to start imaging straight out of the box.

It comes with it's own capture software "AmCap" but can be operated with K3CCDTools and other capture software.

The 1.25" adaptor is fitted as standard and takes filters.

It has a usb cable permanently attached which plugs straight into your lappy.

For full details including price (new) here's a link:

cheers

OK

Looks like I'll have to put a price on this to get the ball rolling.

These sell new for anywhere between $220 and $260...

I've only had mine 6 months. Is in mint condition and is in original box. Comes with everything.

I'm asking $150.

Very affordable way to get into astro imaging.

leon

as long as you have a scope with a 1.25" adaptor which takes your eyepieces...yes.

I've taken plenty of pix using the neximage in the eyepiece holder of my 8" Skywatcher newt

OK guys ... mods (please resurrect from the archives?)...

Seems some of our more learned members managed to change Leon's mind after the deal had been agreed on. Thanks for that....

So the NexImage is still up for grabs.

$130 ... and the whole shebang's yours.

Its a pity I already have one. I am sure someone will snap it up.

Asi was a bit keen, but I think he is going to try something else.

No worries Lester

Yeah. I'm sure it'll sell. Even if I have to take it to E-Bay etc

Cheers mate.
