No Takahashi...

Mailman didn't bring me my latest bundle of joy today... bummer on a wet day Wanted to fiddle with it over this sodden weekend before the clouds HOPEFULLY part mid-next week.

Got a Tak FS60C at a REALLY good price, considering the additional bits with it. Now the painful part is waiting for the parcel guy to drop it (GENTLY) off.

I was SHOCKED at the cost all the Takettes were going to cost - Camera Angle Adapter, Ring, Reducer/Flattener, Wide T ring - would be more than what I paid for the scope! Until the kind gentleman that sold it to me informed that it came with 'em

Enjoy.

Chuck a solar filter, and a 1.4x or 2x extender on your 35mm and check out the Sun.

Best gear I've ever owned. Will never part with the 106N.

H, already got that planned - got a solar filter I made for the ED80 I had, and will adapt it to fit the FS60.

I know what you mean on not parting with kit - the Vixen FL102S I own will be with meas long as I have my eyesight, which is hopefully another 50 years Just smooth, precise and flawless. I can only IMAGINE what a Tak 106 is like...

Lewis, I know exactly how you are feeling.

I ordered my FS-128 in 1997 and it took ages to arrive. Every day i was so excited that it might arrive and when it didn't I was crushed.
The day it arrived was crystal clear and I wanted to take the day off work so i could look at it and touch it (I know you IIS people won't think that strange). When I arrived at work and told my boss that it had finally arrived he sent me home so i could play with it. What a LEGEND!!!

That scope is still in perfect condition and i'll only ever get rid of it if one of my boys gets sick and i need the money. It's a keeper for life.

Waiting impatiently for my little newt astrograph.

Oh well, will spend the weekend making some new collimation tools and light box.

Noted.

I almost pulled the trigger on the 106ED that was up for sale a couple of weeks back... but I just had to eat and sleep inside.

Now I have to wait the long wait for the next one to come up for sale. Waaaah!

Oh well, the little newt astrograph should keep me entertained for a while.

You made the mistake of adding it to your signature before you got it, so the astro-gods decided to make you wait a bit longer...
