a broken comet

Howdy
The broken comet Swatchmann Wachmann 3 is too far north to get with my scope but I set up my camera on a fixed tripod and took 30 x 8 sec 50mm lens F1.8 exposures, ISO 400 at 5 am, then back to bed. Ive just processed them, this is a crop from the image, moon was at the edge of the frame and is cropped out. I thought Id get one fragment, didnt think Id get 2. This is the first time in my life Ive imaged 2 comets in one image

Thanks. Gee Im gad I got the shot, weather is horrible now. The comet/s are due to move further south I think in a week or 2 I will be able to get them with my 10 inch scope, but as that is off axis guided I may be better to use my 6 inch scope, or Bert's 300mm lens which I use a separate guidescope, the comet looks beight enough to guide on.

Terrific shot Scott.....you have done well mate.

Having 2 comets in the same frame makes it 4 times a better image...work that one out...lol
