HST pass from Brisbane, 17th Jan 2013 at 7:39pm AEST

Here’s the HST pass from Brisbane tonight, 17th Jan 2013 at 7:39pm AEST (UT+10). The image is a composite of 2 x 30 sec exposures with a Canon 40D and 50mm F1.4 at 400ASA and F5.6.

I didn’t have noise reduction enabled, so there are a couple of hot pixels scattered throughout the frame.

Cheers

Dennis

Really nice photo Dennis. Saw this pass with the family from Scarborough. The parallax effect is very clear when you can compare it with a photo from another area. We saw the HST pass a lot closer to Orion's belt. Just before it started to dim one of the solar panels must have caught the sunlight and it became quite bright for a few seconds.
