After seeing a thread started by Ving I realised that there are others who share my fetish for watches. I have several, most of which aren't working due to flat batteries, including a couple of fairly expensive Citizen models, but I still get that "have to have" feeling when I see one that takes my fancy. High on my wish list is a moon and tide calculator by Casio (a must have for fishing!!). So are you a sucker for a good watch and how many do you have.??
There is a serious flaw in your sampling method! I have 2 - one for work and one for casual, but your categories don't allow for that (or those with a little more variety!!)
Yes, it is pretty good, tells you sunset and sunrise, moon age and phase (mind you, the moon usually tells me that), plus all the usual digital bells and whistles like stop watch and alarms, day and date, etc.
As for the fishing aspect, this is the best part. I can personally vouch for the fact that no matter how pathetic a fisherman you are, you will definitely catch fish if you go fishing when the watch tells you to.
As far as clocks go, I have the one on my wrist, two in the car that tell different time, one on my home computer and one on the work computer, one in my electronic address book, a sidereal clock and two sundials in the garden, oh and the cat who jumps on my bed at 4:30am every morning.
Phil, clearly in your skewed idea of a universe everyone must have at least one watch! Well like Paul, I don't have one either. Haven't had one for many years. I forget how many. I don't have a calendar either.
