What was that?

Hello! i was driving home from Geelong today (5/01/13) at around nine o'clock and something caught my eye, it was a very bright object zooming through the sky. it was not a plane and it zoomed through Taurus and finished in the deep south horizon. The time was 9:11PM. Just wondering if anyone else saw this and if they could, tell me what it was? Thanks!

Are you sure, because id say it would be second in brightness to sirius, brighter than canopus.

There was a bright pass tonight at that time.

Yes, watched ISS pass over about that time, and again 90 minutes later

It had a bright pass over much of Australia last night.

Hi, Looks like
it was the ISS.
I read on another thread that the ISS went over last night and was very bright.
Maybe check the NASA site for the details of the ISS.
