Height of Pier for Sirius dome

Just need a bit of help, planning on buying A 2.3 m Sirius dome does anyone know how high the pier needs to be for A CGE PRO 14 to fit getting a pier made up but not sure on the height needed.

look here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...light=doghouse but be warned I have found the 14 to be quite a handful in the little 2.3m Sirius dome. By the time you have it mounted, and then take into account the dome slit width, the position of the scope and the other offsets you have an extremely narrow view of the world. Yes it will work but only just – you cant have a guide scope on as it wont work. Been there and done that.

would the 3.5m observatory be better for a c14?

Looks like a 3.5 for me a few cartons of beer will be needed for help to lift the dome, plans say 6 person lift or small crane.
