Eta Carina

First night out with Orion 80mm guider attached to 127ED on NEQ6.
DSLR 60D using prime focus.
Taken 3/1/13 over Melb suburban skies
ISO 1600
6 x 58 sec subs
Stacked with DSS and processed with Iris and Gimp.

Hi Rod,

that looks good, stars seem round and you've got a bit of color there too.
Now that your guiding you should be able to get longer subs.

I'm planning a session on sat 12/1 (new moon) if your interested in coming up.

Thanks John,
Still learning the basics of guiding. I surprised myself and had guiding operating quite successfully within two sessions. Did a couple of 5 min subs on NGC 253 and stars looked nice and round. Need to play around with processing and get into the habit of taking and adding darks and lights.
Way too hot tonight, so hoping tommorrow night stays clear.

Re 12/1, I'm working all that weekend, so not looking good at this stage
