weekend sun in H alpha

here are a couple of images from last weekend

taken with a toucam through a PST.The second image was at prime focus;the first through a 2 x barlow

still heaps to learn in terms of processing and getting the imaging right..just sharing my results as i move along the learning curve, hope that's ok

oh each is about 100 frames stacked in registax and processed in PS

Great job Narayan!

I imagine it's really hard to focus when imaging the sun? I know when I try to do it with my white light filter, it's almost impossible to see it on the laptop screen well enough to judge focus.

yes that's right..also seeing is almost always an issue-the image bubbles away all the time.It's finding the right settings that's the key ..I also am not sure that a touCam is the best imager-a digital camera may well produce better results if I can get it to focus..and that is going to be even harder to judge in the daylight
