DPRK Satellite Kwangmyŏngsŏng-3 over Brisbane NYE

I tried to see the North Korean satellite Kwangmyŏngsŏng-3 that was recently launched, after a few nights trying to see it naked eye. I managed to catch it tonight on camera with a Canon EOS 600D, 24mm, f/1.4, 1.4sec 4fps video at ISO6400. It comes over every night and it is in a polar sun-synchronous orbit.

I estimate the magnitude to be about 5.8

Here is a Star Trails image from 100 or so frames.

Cheers,

Tom
